Fire Insulation Solutions for Industrial Facilities
Fire safety in industrial facilities is a critical requirement not only for maintaining structural resistance but also for production continuity, equipment safety and the protection of human life. High energy loads, dense electrical infrastructure, combustible process lines and large-volume production areas make fire risk far more complex than in other structures. For this reason, passive fire insulation solutions to be applied in industrial facilities must be specifically designed in line with the facility's risk analysis. Structural steel coatings, fire barriers, penetration sealing systems and critical infrastructure protection applications must be addressed as a whole.
Fire-resistant coatings applied to steel load-bearing systems preserve load-bearing capacity under high temperatures and delay the risk of collapse. Electrical cable penetrations, pipe penetrations and mechanical service openings are made safe with fire-stopping foams, mastics, board systems and intumescent transit solutions to prevent fire from spreading between compartments. Thin film coatings applied to concrete and steel composite structures offer high resistance at low thickness, providing an advantage in projects with weight restrictions.
